After I finished my diploma in biology in 2010, I got the opportunity to work as a technician and then lab manager in various research groups. In the Ringrose lab I keep both eyes on the maintenance of the technical infrastructure and ensure the permanent availability of all consumables and devices in the lab. I also coordinate and correspond with the suppliers, technicians and the administration of the HU, and assist student practicals. Furthermore I am responsible for the stock collection of drosophilas, help out with payments and support in the projects of my colleagues wherever it is possible.

For the mammalian PRE/TRE (Polycomb- and Trithorax response elements) project I am involved in the production of barcoded reporter assays which are used for the identification of predicted elements genome wide.

Besides my biological work i run a semi-professional career as a half-time musician, and I am happy to contribute my time and skills to these two diverse working fields.
